We are seeking an Engineering Manager passionate about building developer tools and interested in the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) space and Pulumis approach to IaC.This individual should have a strong understanding of infrastructure, security engineering, billing, and user identity and authorization.At Pulumi, you will be challenged, learn, teach, and collaborate with an elite team of great people.As a manager, you have the potential to have an enormous impact on the team. • Manage the engineering process, working with product, executives and engineers to set realistic deadlines, and keep the Service team on track to meet its deliverables.Customer-Centric Approach:

  • Ensure that our products and services delight our customers and drive their success.Technical Leadership:
    • Guide design and architecture discussions, ensuring technical excellence.
    • Collaborate with principal engineers and contribute to code when necessary.
    • Ensure steady operations and drive a DevOps culture within the team.Qualifications:
      • 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager or in a similar leadership role.
      • Strong technical background with the ability to guide design and architecture.
      • Hands-on experience in coding and technical problem-solving.
      • Comfort with building and iterating on both Open Source and Enterprise products.
      • Comfort with all/some of the following: Amazon Web Services, MySQL, elasticsearch, AI/ML, building robust and resilient systems.
      • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment is a plus.Compensation:
        • Base Salary Hiring Range: $180,500 - $227,850
