Position Responsibilities

Senior Marketing Events Manager responsible for end-to-end process from planning through successful execution of externally facing demand gen events. This role will focus primarily on Deltek hosted events as well as third party industry events and sponsorships and other marketing projects. The person we seek must possess strong leadership skills, be highly organized, work well independently and as part of a team, have exceptional communication skills, and have the right amount of creative balance with sensibility towards process and budget management. Flexibility with changes to take on new projects and being collaborative and comfortable in a fast-paced environment are a must.

Responsibilities:

End-to-end ownership of overall event management process from conception through final execution including budget forecasting and reconciliation, overall event strategy and project management, contract negotiation, site selection, vendor relations, logistics coordination, registration, staffing, onsite production, branding, F&B and post-event debrief/analysis. Project manage diverse portfolio of customer and prospect facing marketing events (multi-track events, sponsorships, tradeshows, receptions, seminars)) in conjunction with aligned industry/product teams.Set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on every project. Work closely with marketing counterparts to develop event plans for each event outlining event details, deliverables and marketing initiatives required to promote and execute a successful event.Leverage Deltek technologies including CVENT, Salesforce, On24, Rainfocus and Zoom.Onsite point of contact for overall logistics at assigned marketing activities. Support other team members on other events and marketing initiatives, as needed.Implement industry best practices and create innovative event experiences across the team to ensure Deltek is communicating the brand consistently and operating cost effectively. Eager to jump in and help with ad hoc marketing projects and open to embracing new challenges.Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Willing to continuously learn and grow skillset to efficiently and creatively up-level event experiences.


Qualifications

8+ years' relevant experience. Experience in marketing and event planning and execution required. Marketing experience in the IT industry preferred. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Business. Willing to travel up to 20% within the United States. Open to traveling international as needed. Must have high-energy work ethic to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work non-standard business hours throughout the year to support events onsite, as needed.Experience managing a variety of events from planning through execution. Ability to troubleshoot unplanned circumstances.Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure. Must be able to manage multiple programs, priorities and deadlines concurrently, while remaining flexible and open to continuous growth and improvement.Solid understanding of budget management, negotiation, and execution of marketing activities. Must demonstrate a professional demeanor and be able to interface with internal stakeholders, external vendors and customers at all organizational levels. Written and spoken communication that is clear and concise. Outstanding communication and collaboration skills are critical.Provide superior attention to detail. Must be metrics driven and a very strong analytical thinker.Works well independently and within a team environment and has a "can do" attitude. Passion for learning new and emerging technology trends in relation to creating memorable customer experiences.


Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $79500.00 - $119250.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
