Job Description :SummaryThe Consultant Engineer is responsible
for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to
design Supply Chain Solutions in current and future operations.
- Transportation experience (dedicated transportation
preferred)
- Continuous improvement mentality and ability to drive change
within an established business
- Transportation modeling/solutions development experience
- Transportation metrics & data visualization
- Proficient in transportation modeling tools such as Appian
Direct Route, or similar
- Ability to analyze transportation data for optimization
opportunities, dedicated route design and strategic network
analysis
- Strong customer facing presence and ability to clearly
articulate savings opportunities with the customer.Essential
Functions
- Collects data and performs statistical analysis
- Maps and documents processes. Recommends and implements process
improvement
- Establishes and implements performance measures
- Manages small and medium size projects
- Conducts Supply Chain and/or inventory analysis
- Re-designs and/or re-engineers logistics processes
- Supports business development and creates efficient designs and
solutions
- Determines efficient utilization of resources by analyzing
layouts, labor force, driver and equipment utilization

- Applies company methodologies and tools to design
transportation operations
- Confers with the Engineering and Operations Managers to
implement efficient and competitive solutions
- Applies Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Statistical Process Controls
(SPC) tools
- Assists in the development and delivery of presentations to
customers as part of the sales team effort
- Performs other duties as assigned.Skills and Abilities

- Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply
Chain or a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience
- Master's degree preferred in Industrial Engineering and/or
related field
- Four (4) years or more related work experience required
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
- Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)DOT Regulated: NoJob

offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors,
including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including

commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level
