Job Description:

cFocus Software is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer III to join our program supporting the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) in Washington, DC. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance.Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• 8-10 years in cyber security roles is complemented by a robust educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Active certifications such as CISSP, CySA+, or CASP+.
• Proficiency extends to designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level security solutions, with advanced technical skills encompassing network security, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response management.
• Leadership capabilities are demonstrated through mentoring junior team members, providing strategic guidance, and fostering a proactive security culture.
• Expertise in compliance with regulatory and DoD standards, coupled with strong communication skills for effectively conveying complex security issues to diverse stakeholders.
• Continuous learning and innovation drive adaptation to emerging cyber threats and technologies.Duties:
• Lead and orchestrate comprehensive security initiatives within an organization.
• Design and implement advanced security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and secure network architectures.
• Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and oversee incident response activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, providing strategic direction and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment on security goals and initiatives.
