Our Professional Services have successfully supported Federal Agencies, State and Local Governments and commercial enterprises for nearly 20 years.Job DescriptionElluminates Software Corporation is looking for a full-time Cloud Engineer with experience designing and testing Azure Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) to include integration with the Enterprise Azure Cloud Services (EACS). This position is in support of the Department of State (DOS) as a part of the Vanguard 2.2.1 contract. The Vanguard 2.2.1 program provides transparent, interconnected systems and security support for the Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM) program. The IRM program enables the Department of State to successfully carry out its foreign policy mission by providing enterprise architecture design, engineering, operations and maintenance support services for data center services, desktop computers, servers, networks, firewalls, voice and data communications and other unique enterprise applications.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Execute the duties and responsibilities as a member of the Cloud & Virtual Services (CVS) team at the DOS Information Resources Management bureau.
  • Architect, design, and deploy enterprise-level cloud-based solutions for hosting, backup, off-site data replication and service level capacity solutions.
  • Test Microsoft local services support on Azure Stack Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) such as print services, domain controllers, VDI (if available) and validation of network connective performance, data transfer performance, and key Azure On Prem Services.
  • Act as the technical team lead for cloud projects.
  • Support the implementation of Azure hardware and operating systems solutions to provide hosting services to multiple sites.
  • Provide Tier III support to deployed systems.
  • Assist in the development of Enterprise policies and directives.
  • Conduct Technical Exchange Meetings.
  • Create test plans, installation guides, technical specifications, white papers as required.
  • Communicate regularly to government POCs regarding project activities & status.
  • Candidates must be willing to: travel within the Washington DC Metro area to support various program initiatives; support a rotational on-call posture after normal working hours in response to technical support requests; and travel within and outside the continental United States, if required (not to exceed 10%).Desired Qualifications
    • Azure Stack infrastructure configuration, installation and setup experience
    • Azure Government Cloud infrastructure engineering experience
    • Experience at some time with VMware or Hyper-V or other on prem virtualization platforms at a senior level
    • Core networking concepts (Segmentation, sub-netting, routing, public IP, private IP)
    • Automation and scripting
    • Code Source Control
    • Infrastructure as Code
    • Agile / DevOps conceptsDesired Certifications:
      • Azure CertificationYears of Experience and Education RequirementsBachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.Type: Full-TimeClearance: Top Secret RequiredLocation: Hybrid (Washington DC / Remote).
