DescriptionJob Title: Cloud EngineerClearance Required: Public TrustWork Location: RemotePart-time OpportunityThe Cloud Engineering & Web Solutions Architect designs, defines and develops custom modules as well as deploy system tools and features to create/package integration from proposal to product. Document features, modules, requirements, and the risks of each project based initiative and assist in the design and implementation of system architecture and interface control using requirements.Key Responsibilities:Primary responsibility is to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable websites using WordPress.Cloud based design, definition and development custom modules, features, and package integration from proposal to product.Write efficient code and maintain code quality, organization, documentation, and automatization.Document features, modules, requirements, and the risks of each Cloud based initiative.Develops architecture solutions and evaluates alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.Work with IT security staff and communications professionals to meet yearly web certifications and implement security updates as required.Troubleshooting and debugging applicationsResearches and recommends cloud architecture that will enhance internal tools, and systems.Provide optimization and best practices utilizing AWS tools.Develop, document and implement cloud solutions to ensure application high availability in both hybrid on-premise cloud and fully cloud hosted applications to provide an always on experience.Acts as a subject matter expert for cloud end-to-end architecture, including current and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management.Design system architecture and interface control using requirements.Operate and maintain EC2 instances, production ECS clusters, and additional AWS services.Required Qualifications:Experience/Skills:Prior Experience with AWS CloudWordPressPython and PowerShellGood understanding of database architecture and query optimizationAbility to evolving technologiesMust possess experience and understanding of government contractingStrong and effective verbal and communications skillsExceptional organizational skillsPreferred Education:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related fieldRequired Certifications:AWS Certified Cloud PractitionerAWS Certified Solutions AssociateBenefit Information:Joining the Alpha Omega team entitles you to participate in all retirement benefits, plans of deferred compensation, health and insurance benefits, and other such benefits as set forth in the company's policy and benefits manuals.
