searching for a Senior Accountant (Grants focused) based in

Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of grants, including budgeting,
financial tracking, reporting, and closeouts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and private grant
regulations (e.g., OMB Uniform Guidance, GAAP).
- Prepare and submit timely financial reports to grantors and
internal stakeholders.
- Monitor grant expenditures, ensuring alignment with approved
budgets and funding restrictions.
- Collaborate with program managers and finance teams to ensure
proper allocation and spending of grant funds.
- Conduct audits and reviews to maintain financial integrity and
regulatory compliance.
- Assist in grant proposal budgeting and financial
forecasting.
- Reconcile grant-related accounts and prepare journal
entries.
- Provide guidance on best practices for grant financial
management to internal teams.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
(CPA or Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in grants accounting, nonprofit
accounting, or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of federal grant regulations, Uniform Guidance
(2 CFR 200), and GAAP principles.
- Proficiency in financial reporting systems and accounting
software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Workday, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication
skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple
deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with fund accounting and restricted/unrestricted
fund management.
- Background in higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, or
government.
- Knowledge of indirect cost recovery and grant budget
