THE POSITION
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting
opportunity for a professional Accountant 2 in the Bureau of
Accounting and Purchasing, Cash Management and Sales Audit
Division. In this role you will be responsible for performing the
accounting duties associated with PLCB's Licensing and Lottery
activities as well as supporting some Cash Management/Sales Audit

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position you will utilize your analytical and accounting
skills to prepare the documentation through which PLCB returns more
than $4 million of liquor license fees to local municipalities.
Your work will fulfill this, and a variety routine operations and
administrative practices governed by established policy, procedure,
and regulation with a high degree of independence, judgment,
interpretation, and initiative in their application.
Responsibilities include fulfilling the accounting requirements of
the PLCB Liquor License Fund in accordance with the Pennsylvania
Liquor Code, coordinating the financial activities associated with
Lottery transactions for the PLCB, validating licensing fees
received by various payment methods against the Daily Close reports
from Licensing and preparing the associated entries and
reconciliations, and fulfilling the accounting requirements for

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a
60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home
(telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a
securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an
approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to
telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters
office in Harrisburg.

non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Accountant 1; or
- Two years of professional accounting experience, and graduation
from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented
by fifteen credits in accounting.
- Four years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college
credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation. A
Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted
for one year of general work experience. Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal
Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. An
applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of
their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for
the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other
