Medical Receptionist - Community MedicineColumbia MDMUST:2 solid years of medical office experience in a multi physician private practiceComfortable working in a very high volume settingStrong customer service skills and experience on the phonesExperience registering patientsStrong scheduling experienceAbility to process referrals and track themExperience using EMR and strong computer experienceHandling translations for Spanish speaking patientsDUTIES :Scheduling appointments and registered patients for vaccinesCheck patients inVerify insuranceRegistering patients in EMR systemAnswering phonesProviding customer serviceResponds to inquiries, and directs callers to appropriate areaProcesses and tracks referrals in a timely mannerGreets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors with courtesy and discretion, providing exemplary customer serviceAccurately enters confidential personal health information and financial information into EMR.Detects and corrects errors, completes forms, obtains needed information and maintains logs and filesCollect co pays and payments, apply to accounts and make adjustmentsReconcile daily cash reportsManage files, initiates and replies to record requestsPerform fee scale functions.Assists in coverage for other areasPerforms other tasks as needed*Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
